In our view the execution of complex projects can be divided into two distinct phases. The construction element tends to be more predictable in terms of its duration; however, it is the months and often years of planning beforehand that will determine whether a scheme will succeed or fail. Coplan's core strengths are in orchestrating the pre-construction process including; hands-on participation during the public consultation and planning process; managing stake holder's expectations; and ultimately meeting the aspirations of the company and its partners. The aim of this process is to create a sustainable and viable scheme that will stand the test of time.

We manage all of our assets internally because we believe asset management and property development go hand-in-hand. The convergence of the asset management strategy with the development process is essential to remove constraints imposed by others and avoid unnecessary delays. This requires both soft and hard skills including technical competence, clarity of vision, and management of relationships and processes right from the beginning.
