Bedford Coplan were selected by Bedford Borough Council as their partner to redevelop the Church Lane Neighbourhood scheme in September 2006. This appointment followed a rigorous selection process.
The scheme comprises a new community centre (including créche), a new foodstore anchor and new retail and community facilities with 73 new homes incorporated adjacent to and over the commercial areas. Planning permission was granted for this £15m scheme in January 2008 and enabling works are currently underway. Phase 1, which includes the new food store, community centre, medical centre and associated car parking, is due to commence in the Spring of 2009. Ilford As part of a consortium with Bellway Homes and Metropolitan Housing Association, Coplan were selected as the commercial partner by the London Borough of Redbridge in August 2007 to assist in the creation of Unity Square, a £100m development. This is a residential led (570 Units) scheme which at ground level provides numerous café/bars and restaurants facing on to a new town square with a new 360 seat theatre. |
